WS: Fit n’ Right

under WS | 1,370 views

This weekend we tried for the first time Del Monte’s Fit n’ Right Juice drinks - four seasons, pineapple and apple flavors. It says that these juice drink from real fruit juice is the refreshing way to get the body you’ve always wanted. Well the taste is just like the other juice drinks we have tried before. Each bottle costs P20. It is said to contain 300 mg of L-Carnitine which helps burn fat and B vitamins that help speed up our metabolism. I am not sure if that works but we enjoyed the drink anyway.

WS: Manobo Chicken @Whaw Grill & Restaurant (Matina)

under Food Trip, WS | 1,071 views

We have been seeing Whaw Grill & Restaurant near People’s Park with it’s trademark very attractive, colorful and huge signage at most of its branches. When we had grocery one time, we got hungry and decided to have an instant food trip at its latest branch in Matina in front of NCCC Mall. The place used to be Yantis KTV. Actually, the KTV is still there inside Whaw. Anyway, H tried their Whaw Meal #2 - Manobo Chicken with unlimited rice and soup (P69) which was really delicious or its probably because of the sweet delicious sauce. While I tried their Whaw Meal #4 - Solo Lechon with unlimited rice and soup (P65) which I really regret because the lechon was so cold and does not taste that good. So H shared with me his chicken. We were really full because we both ate two cups of rice plus half rice for me! So there is no rice shortage here lol! :) Hope you had a happy weekend and have a great week ahead!

French Toast

under Recipes | 479 views

My friend and classmate in college first taught me how to make French Toast when we went to her house one time way back then. I loved that taste of her recipe that I tried it by myself after that in our home. It was simple, easy to do and delicious. My mom said though that this recipe consumes so much oil.

Anyway, here is a simple French toast recipe with eggs and bread.

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon sugar, optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 10 to 12 slices white bread
  • butter
  • maple syrup or other syrup

Preparation:

Break eggs into a wide, shallow bowl or pie plate; beat lightly with a fork. Stir in sugar, salt, and milk.

Over medium-low heat, heat griddle or skillet coated with a thin layer of butter or margarine.

Place the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl or plate, letting slices soak up egg mixture for a few seconds, then carefully turn to coat the other side. Soak/coat only as many slices as you will be cooking at one time.

Transfer bread slices to griddle or skillet, heating slowly until bottom is golden brown. Turn and brown the other side. Serve French toast hot with butter and syrup.
Recipe for French toast serves 4.

Hope you have a delicious Sunday with your family!
