WS: Davao Food Trip at The Cafe Mediterranean Flavors of the Sun

under Food Trip, WS | 714 views

Another weekend and we had another Davao Food Trip this time around at The Cafe Mediterranean Flavors of the Sun located at Chimes Specialty Store at Governor Sales Street, Davao City. Hubby and I went there because we wanted to try out their pizza for we love pizza and we wanna give in to our curiosity for the place where we have never been before. Though I found out that there is one restaurant similar to this that we have tried out at SM Davao named Turquoise.

I first found out about this cafe because of their buy one take one promo everyday with their pizza. So to satisfy our curiosity, we bought their own version of New York pizza with pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers and onions. I think they used pita bread which is actually my first time for a pizza. There is something that I could taste in their pizza which I could not quite decipher what that made me think I’d prefer Pizza Hut instead. But as I continued to clean up this plate with hubby’s help of course, I learned to appreciate it’s different taste from the usual pizza I’ve tasted before. I just have to set aside the mushrooms as they taste so raw and fresh like it ha just been taken out from the can coz it’s rather cold. But as thin as the crust maybe, I was full.

Love to try Davao’s delicious foods one day. Been to davao once during my college days for a field trip, but was not able to explore Davao at all. Been to the Eagle farm and stayed in Marco Polo though. It was a nice experience and I like the place.

I like mediterannean. Yum…that pizza is just my type. Thin crust is really great…if not burnt.
