Gloria Jean’s Coffees in Davao City

under Coffee Shop, Food Trip | 9,888 views

Gloria Jean’s Coffees Logo Gloria Jean’s Coffees is now in Davao City, Philippines and it had its soft opening yesterday afternoon at Pagcor-Davao (formerly Casino Filipino) inside the Grand Regal Hotel, Lanang, Davao City. This is the first ever branch in Davao City while they already have around 40 branches in Manila, other parts of Luzon and the Visayas.

This morning, I am so happy as hubby brought me these from Gloria Jean’s Coffees:

Gloria Jean’s Coffees Davao - Chocolate Macadamia Nut Coffee Chiller (P150)

Gloria Jean’s Coffees Davao - Cafe Mocha Hot Coffee
Hot Cafe Mocha (P130)

For dessert, he bought me chocolate moist cake (P105).Gloria Jean’s Coffees Davao - Chocolate Moist Cake (P105)

The macadamia nut coffee chiller was heavenly delicious! They said it is their best seller among their chillers! I really recommend it so you’ve got to try it. I still have to try their other chillers and hot coffee next time. I am also looking forward to their mug souvenirs for my collection. They still don’t have any available here.

A little history:

Gloria Jean’s Coffees is a large chain of specialty coffee retailers. It started as a small coffee and gift shop in 1979 in Chicago, USA. In 1996 it spread to Australia. Late 2004, Gloria Jean’s Coffees Australia founders, Nabi Saleh and Peter Irvine, acquired Gloria Jean’s Coffees international master franchise brand and roasting rights for all countries (except the USA and Puerto Rico). The company which oversees Gloria Jean’s Coffees in the United States is Diedrich Coffee.

Specialty Beans Philippines Inc. holds the local master franchise for Gloria Jean’s Coffees and currently has close to 40 stores in Luzon and in the Visayas. With the coffee chain growing continuously in key cities across the country, the company is targeting a total of 50 stores by yearend, doubling the number by 2009. Expanding the network to Mindanao, initially in Cagayan de Oro and Davao, is also being eyed.
